Learn Swedish Now! 10:  This is an extension of the Before You Know It!  program mentioned previously.  It contains the BYKI (Lite version) along with video clips and interactive conversations.  This immersion program that enables learners take basic vocabulary and quickly progress to more advanced comprehension and use. Grammar, vocabulary, reading, listening, pronunciation skills, and more are emphasized through the use of native language texts, videos, and stories that immerse the user in the Swedish language and provide opportunities for language investigation, skill-building and role play.  Cost: £50

Livingosoft Swedish Dictionary & Phrase Software:  I love this software as it contains so many words and phrases, along with audible pronunciation of the words and phrases, depending on   which version you purchase.  It even has swear words (not that I want to know any swear words in Swedish, (I'm glad you can't see me blushing!))  Cost: £20 - £100, depending on which versions you purchase.

Systran Language Translation Software:  I have always been a little dubious of translation software as you can't just type in a whole sentence in English, and then have it translated accurately into another language; you have to know how the other language grammar works to get the best results.  I used to have version 5 of the Systran translation software a few years ago, but I was not impressed with it, however, the latest incarnation, version 6, is a huge improvement on its predecessor.  You still can’t type in huge amounts of text and have it reliably translate the whole text accurately; it is more of a ‘gist translation’ in that you’ll get a very good idea of what the foreign translated text says.  The price of this software ranges from £30 all the way up to £760, depending on which language packs you wanted, and which level of product you want.  I went for the Premium package with just English<>Swedish packs, and that cost £510.  I didn't see the point of paying more for other languages that I am not learning.  The translation capabilities of this product have improved vastly, and it looks so much more professional too.  Depending on which level of product you buy you can translate a variety of documents such as Excel, Word, Outlook, pdf files, and web sites. Cost: £30 - £760.
